Stefan Hoenicke, of East Petersburg, was driving a white Honda CRV southbound on Lititz Pike around 9:52 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, when he allegedly attempted to evade a traffic detail conducted by NLCRPD and the U.S. Secret Service near W. Millport Road, police said in the release.

Officers said Hoenicke entered a right-turn lane before swerving left, bypassing four marked police vehicles, and accelerating rapidly. Despite officers yelling for him to stop, he allegedly sped away.

The pursuit ended at Airport Road and Lititz Pike, where Pennsylvania State Troopers were conducting a separate traffic detail. Hoenicke is accused of nearly striking one of the troopers before being stopped and taken into custody. He reportedly resisted arrest but was ultimately detained, police said.

Hoenicke has been charged with felony fleeing and eluding police and misdemeanor resisting arrest before Judge Stauffer.
